April 1, 2001 -- "Lonestar Models [ www.lonestarmodelsinc.com
] has taken the leap into the internet age with today's announcement
of the company's new web site," said company founder and
president, Dan Goins. "We feel we can offer distributors,
dealers, and modelers better service through our online
presence. One of several key features is the availability of
photographs online of every item Lonestar Models currently catalogs.
This will enable prospective buyers to see an example of the
finished product at their convenience. As we continually expand
our offerings of assembled models, buyers can see exactly the
product what they'll be receiving."
"Our online Customer Service Center is geared around our
goal of complete customer satisfaction! Modelers can shop online
using our easy-to-use online shopping cart system and, if ever
necessary, they can request a replacement part for broken or
lost parts (no questions asked) needed to complete a kit shipped
free of charge! We offer the safety and convenience of a certified,
secure web server with payment options of MasterCard, Visa,
and PayPal. Optionally, online shoppers can print their invoice
directly from the web site and mail payment with their order
to Lonestar if they so choose."
"Additionally, we will be able to respond to customers
more quickly through direct e-mail communication and feedback.
Our online kit assembly instructions and exploded view diagrams
will assist modelers in assembling or reviewing the assembly
details of our advanced kits. Modelers can e-mail Lonestar Models
questions and be assured that they'll have an e-mail reply in
their hands within 24 hours. We look forward to the continued
growth of Lonestar Models and feel this is a milestone in our
company's development," continued Goins.
"While our web site presence has been a long time coming,
we felt it was important to hold our announcement until Lonestar
Models had the staffing in place to facilitate daily shipments
and we could focus internally on expanding our business presence.
Now that we have those key personnel in place, we feel that
we can respond quickly to increased business we expect from
our online presence while maintaining our high level of service
to distributors. We see our expanded presence as a great benefit
to dealers and distributors who can now get the latest news
on product availability and new product development directly
from our web site. We anticipate having our Direct Online
Ordering process completed and available to distributors
very shortly."
The Lonestar Models web site was developed in close cooperation
with and designed by Bob Johnson, Lonestar Models principal
and webmaster for the very popular 1/87 Vehicle Club web site
[ www.1-87vehicles.org
]. According to Johnson, "The Lonestar web site was developed
to make it as intuitive and easy to navigate as we could design.
We think web visitors will enjoy our online shopping cart system
that was chosen for its ease of use and tight integration with
the web site design. We look forward to expanding the web site
and are already planning the next phase of our web site expansion."
Lonestar Models was established in 1995 to bring to the 1/87
(HO) scale vehicle model marketplace the highest quality products
available. It continues today to deliver on its goal with an
expanding line of high quality assembled models, kits, and detail
parts.
